Nigerian billionaire businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has once again made headlines with his generosity, gifting Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze (fondly called “Akin”) a brand new 2024/2025 SUV at his birthday celebration. The surprise moment, captured in videos circulating online, showed Chinedu visibly stunned and emotional as he received the luxury car, with guests cheering and applauding the kind gesture.
E-Money, known for his yearly tradition of giving out extravagant gifts on his birthday, has made it a ritual to bless friends, family, and staff with cars, cash, and other valuable items. Last year, he gifted his younger brother, singer KCee, ₦20 million, and also extended generosity to comedian Funny Bone. His housekeeper, cleaner, chef, and barber were not left out, as they all received cars and other gifts worth over ₦200 million.
In 2023, he celebrated his birthday by gifting luxury cars to domestic staff, company employees, and families. Similarly, in 2021, during his 40th birthday, he gave out several high-end vehicles to lucky recipients. A year earlier, he also gifted exotic cars to staff members and even presented comic actor and OAP Yaw with a brand new Land Cruiser, a gesture that was widely celebrated on social media.
While E-Money’s acts of generosity continue to earn him admiration, not all reactions have been positive. In a separate incident, a Nigerian man sparked mixed reactions online after he was seen bowing and kissing E-Money’s feet and hand, declaring his love and admiration for the billionaire. The video drew criticism, with many faulting the man for showing such extreme reverence to another human being.
Nonetheless, E-Money’s latest gift to Chinedu Ikedieze has once again highlighted his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most charitable billionaires, with fans and colleagues flooding social media with congratulatory messages for the Nollywood star.
