Blessing Oborududu, has qualified for the semi-finals of women’s wrestling freestyle 68kg event at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Punch Newspaper reports.
Oborududu, who hails from Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, defeated Elis Manolova from Azerbaijan 13-2 and Meerim Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan in the quarter finals.
Blessing Oborududu just won her 68kg semifinal bout against Mongolia’s Battsetseg Soronzonbold by 7-2, which means she is guaranteed GOLD or Silver – Nigeria’s 1st Ever Medal In Wrestling At An Olympic Games.
