Hypeman Major Phylix, a concerned citizen and an Hypeman, has sounded the alarm on the growing issue of police brutality in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State. According to Phylix, the situation has become so dire that youths are fleeing the city in droves, fearing for their safety.
“We can’t continue like this; our youths are running away from Yenagoa because they don’t feel safe anymore,” Phylix said in a statement. “We urge Gov. Diri to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure our youths are protected.”
Phylix’s appeal comes as tensions rise in Yenagoa, with reports of police harassment and brutality on the increase. The youth leader warned that if the issue is ignored, it could lead to increased migration and social unrest.
“We can’t afford to lose our youths to other states or countries due to police brutality,” Phylix said. “We need Gov. Diri to take action now to ensure our city remains safe and habitable for all.”
We echo Hypeman Major Phylix’s call to action and urge Gov. Diri to take swift and decisive action to address police brutality in Yenagoa. The future of the city’s youths depends on it.
He also recalled that the so-called Police Officers brutalized and extorted his younger brother.
