Tensions are running high in the Nigerian music scene after Davido joined Fela Kuti’s children to honour the late legend, Fela Kuti in Los Angeles. Wizkid’s fans are having none of it, accusing Davido of “eye service” – pretending to show love and respect just to gain favor.
The event was a star-studded affair, with Fela’s kids Femi, Yeni, and others in attendance. But Wizkid’s FC (fans club) weren’t impressed by Davido’s presence, sparking a heated debate on social media.

Seun Kuti, Fela’s son, weighed in on the controversy, telling Wizkid’s fans not to compare artists. Meanwhile, Kunle Kuti has expressed admiration for Wizkid, saying he’s the only artist he’s begged to meet.
