Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has raised alarm over the flood of messages she has been receiving from men after her phone number appeared on Facebook.
Naija News reports that in a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress said she has tried several times to remove or change her number on Facebook, but nothing has worked.
She explained that she now wakes up daily to thousands of messages from different men who claim they want to marry her.
According to her, the messages come from men of different ages and places, all introducing themselves and asking if she is truly single and ready for marriage.
The thespian said the situation has become overwhelming, as blocking and archiving the chats no longer helps.
The actress made it clear that even though she is single, she is not searching for a husband and wants people to stop disturbing her.
The mother of one added that she has received insults from some people who accuse her of getting old and not being married, but she asked to be left alone.
Nkechi Blessing also revealed that she cannot easily change her phone number because it is very important to her and is linked to many things.
The businesswoman said her WhatsApp is now filled with more than 5,000 unread messages from men who got her contact from Facebook.
She described the situation as exhausting and said she is tired of the constant calls and messages, adding that it is impossible for one person to handle that kind of pressure from so many people at the same time.
