Nigerian rapper Ycee has fired shots at fellow artist Phenom in the latest Man2Man Open Verse Challenge. The beef stems from Phenom’s claims of struggling to get features from top artists, which Ycee took issue with.
Ycee pointed out that he’s collaborated with Wiz on three songs, yet Phenom isn’t getting the same recognition. “3 songs with Wiz, yet you are not a starboy” 🤣, Ycee said, implying Phenom is overhyping their connection.
The drama began when Phenom complained about struggling to get features, and Ycee accused him of misrepresenting their collaboration history. Ycee claimed he was paid for a verse that Phenom later couldn’t use because Ycee had already used similar bars elsewhere.
